We absolutely love the collaboration with clients, especially this one! She loves to travel and collect and really wanted to be bold with her style but was afraid. Our collaboration brought us to this fun, funky, eclectic yet modern space that now showcases her collection of treasures from her travels!
The original fireplace had been replaced by the previous owner and we just hated it! However we did not want to tear it out and uncover a "can of worms" or spend the money on a brand new one as there were plenty of other projects to complete. So we painted it and found a cool bold wallpaper to turn it from tragic to hip!
When we had our first meeting she showed me her "wish/inspiration board" and this Kasala Couch was on it. Later that week I found it lightly used for a fraction of the price! A skill that most of my clients love- the ability to find things both new and old that can give your space a one of a kind feel or save you money---and reuse to save the planet.

We did save the maroon Mid-Century original tiled window trim that is in every room, it was way too sweet of a detail to loose!
Though we love to keep vintage details when possible this FLESH colored bathroom was not doing it for the home owner!
